Painting has always been a very therapeutic force in my life, but this year it has felt like a lifeline amidst a series of unfortunate events; a basement flood, illnesses, accidents, childcare
challenges, etc. This piece brought a hope and lightness in this time of compounding challenges and chaos for my family. I’ve experienced a joy in the dreamlike escape and a peace in the rhythm and repetition of stacked colors. I have processed my feelings through creating and then organizing the chaos I feel.
