This is the first piece I created in a series after the birth of my daughter. My introduction into parenthood was unfortunately riddled with trauma and I needed joyful, warm colors to support my healing and reconnect with myself.
I also adapted to working in bursts of time while Avery was napping, so I fully embraced the interruptions as something new and exciting in my process. Inspired by my daughter’s zest for life, learning and constant growth, I wanted to exhibit a feeling of intense vitality and reconnection in this piece.
