“Bright Spots” Framed Gestural Abstracts
.“Bright Spots” is a new body of work that delves into my journey of finding moments of joy and healing amidst the relentless struggle of chronic pain. Through a therapeutic exploration of shapes and gestures, vibrant hues of warm and cool tones intermingle. Like pieces of a puzzle, I carefully organize each unique gesture to find balance, peace and beauty amidst chaos and unpredictability. As I build energy and movement, the tension in my body begins to melt away in a cathartic process of letting go. The resulting pieces exude joy, energy, light and hope while embracing uniqueness as an integral part of the whole.

“Organized Chaos” – 2023
Painting has always been a very therapeutic force in my life, but this year it has felt like a lifeline amidst a series of unfortunate events. My new collection, “Organized Chaos” brings a hope and lightness inspired by my 15 month old daughter, Avery. As I’ve read her Dr. Seuss books on repeat for many months, I’ve experienced a joy in the dreamlike escape and a peace in the rhythm and repetition. I have processed my feelings through creating and then organizing the chaos I feel.

“Secret Garden” – 2022
This collection was created during my residency at Vagabond Botanical in La Grange. I began this journey after the birth of my daughter as I struggled to reconnect to my own body and sense of self. This collection explores the twisted maze of new motherhood and evolving relationships: the profound highs and lows, the struggles of self doubt, the daily monotony, the unimaginable love and the powerful evolution of self.
